Pam Stamey, Lightning Community Hero, joined AM Tampa to talk about why she was honored as the 35th Lightning Community Hero this season.
Pam received a $50,000 donation from the Lightning Foundation and the Lightning Community Heroes program.
The money will be donated to Homemakers of Hope and the Christ the King Catholic Church.
Homemakers of Hope is a faith-based ministry dedicated to furnishing homes for low-income families.
Pam and her volunteers have worked with over thirty partnering agencies.
Since 2016, over 530 deliveries of furniture were given to families in need throughout Hillsborough County helping 2086 adults and children.
