John Jonchuck's mother takes the stand in his Pinellas murder trial

She referred to her granddaughter Phoebe as "my princess angel".

Michele Jonchuck takes the stand, facing her son. John Jonchuck is charged with murdering Phoebe by dropping her 70-feet to her death from the Dick Meisner Bridge four years ago.

When asked by prosecutors if Phoebe knew how to swim, Michele Jonchuck said no and admitted that the five-year-old was afraid of the water.

Jurors also heard from law enforcement officers who arrested Jonchuck and tried to interrogate him. One of those officers presented in court the giant antique Bible Jonchuck had in his possession the night Phoebe was killed.
