Bradenton, Fla. (Newsradio WFLA) - A one-car crash killed a man Saturday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said, with no evidence that the driver hit the brakes before its collision with a utility pole at about 10:30 p.m, according to an FHP crash report.

M.T. Jennings, 56, drove on US-41 south of South Palm Lane when "for unknown reasons," according to the crash report, Jennings "failed to maintain control" of the car and it struck the concrete pole. "No pre-crash skid marks were observed at the scene," the crash report said.
