Minivan vs. Walking Man Crash Kills Pedestrian in Zephyrhills

Zephyrhills, Fla. (Newsradio WFLA) - A collision between a minivan and a walking man Saturday night killed the pedestrian, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Terry Anthony Putz, 51, of Zephyrhills walked across US-301 north of Vinson Avenue at about 7:10 p.m. and into the path of the 1999 Chevy Venture that John Charles Motzer, 44, also of Zephyrhills, drove, according to the FHP crash report. The van struck Putz, who died later at the hospital of his injuries. Alcohol was not a factor in the collision, according to the crash report.
