Two sisters in their 60's are now facing first degree murder charges. 63-year-old Mary Beth Tomaselli and 62-year-old Linda Roberts are accused of killing their elderly father four years ago. Pinellas Sheriff Bob Gualtieri says 85-year-old
Anthony Tomaselli was terminally ill and suffering from dementia. The women finally admitted to detectives they "euthanized" their dad because he didn't want to go to an assisted living facility.
Gualtieri says the women told investigators they first tried to kill their dad with an overdose of sleeping pills. when that didn't work, they suffocated him.
The women first confessed to a friend. That person then notified detectives.
