Pasco Volunteers Clean Up Roadsides and Beaches Saturday

HOLIDAY (WFLA News) -- Pasco County volunteers are cleaning up roadsides and watersides Saturday morning... as the county observes the "Great American Cleanup." Kristen King is coordinator for "Keep Pasco Beautiful." She says there's a big focus on cleaning up beaches and mangroves... some of which are fouled with monofilament fishing line. That line gets tangled in mangroves and becomes a trap for birds, and a dangerous meal for fish.

More than 500 volunteers are expected to take part. They still have room for those who wish to volunteer on-site. These people should show up at Anclote Gulf Park in Holiday before 8 a.m. Saturday (2nd).
