A Day At The Florida State Fair

Tampa, Fla.-(2/17/2019)-Got the chance to spend a day at the 2019 Florida State Fair. We had a blast eating, walking, eating some more, walking, looking at animals, checking out the rides, eating some more and walking even more. WHEW, I'm tired.

First stop was the Expo Hall to check out the vendors. We went through all the 4-H, crafts and other fair displays. Tattoo Lady actually found a place to get a tattoo. No ink, just glitter.

We got a cup of fries and walked over to Cracker Country. They've moved old buildings from around the state to make an historic village. There is a blacksmith at work along with other folks doing what Floridians did here several hundred years ago. There's even an old general store.

We walked around the midway and looked over the rides. They have a section devoted to child rides. They've also got some wild rides (not good if you've just had a bucket of fries). One place was offering camel rides for ten bucks.

After the steak tips, roasted corn and other tasty fair delights, we took home caramel and candied apples and one giant bag of cotton candy.
