MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) - A busy burglar picked the wrong truck to steal from.
Security cameras alerted the owner, who then confronted the thief.
It happened at 3 a.m. last Thursday in the Country Palms neighborhood.
Brian Allen just got home from work, checked his security cameras and saw a guy inside his truck.
In the video, you can see the thief calmly sitting in the driver's seat, looking for valuables.
He doesn't notice Allen walking up to him. Allen then slammed the door shut, trapping the burglar inside.
Allen keeps him in there for a time, before snatching him by the collar and yanking him out of the car.
That's when fists fly.
Turns out this burglary is one of five in the neighborhood that morning. The Country Palms homeowner's association president spread the word, hoping to warn others.
