Tarpon Springs, Fla.-(Newsradio WFLA)-Police here have arrested 25 year-old Dureck Lemont Richardson for this week's shooting in the 400 block of East Oakwood Street. Richardson has been charged with attempted murder.
Detectives say they got some help in their case against Richardson because he was wearing a GPS ankle monitor in an alternative sentencing program from another crime. The GPS apparently showed Richardson at the shooting location at the time of the incident.
Police say Richardson knows the victim and the shooting was the result of a previous dispute between the two men. Police have yet to identify the man shot.
