Bartow, Fla.-(Newsradio WFLA)- A man already behind bars for possession of child pornography won't be getting out of jail anytime soon. Polk County deputies have charged 28 year-old William Smith with additional counts.
Smith was arrested last December on 15 child porn possession counts. During that arrest, the Bartow man's Apple MacBook Pro was confiscated by deputies. A forensic examination of that device found more files depicting children as young as 12 to 24 months old engaged in sexual conduct.
Smith has been hit with an additional 165 counts of possession of child pornography as a result of the images found on the computer.
Smith was formerly employed with Youth and Family Alternatives as a counselor and assisted school guidance counselors and parents with truant children.
