Bill Proposes Florida Grads Take Financial Literacy Course

(Tallahassee, FL)  --  A bill proposal in the Florida Senate would require students to learn about money management before they graduate.  If passed, the Dorothy L. Hukill Financial Literacy Act would require graduates to have taken a half-credit course in financial literacy.

The legislation was initially introduced in 2018 before Hukill passed away, but did not move past the House.

Her co-sponsors are bringing the bill back and hoping to pass it in her honor.
