Pinellas Inmate Tries To Smuggle Drugs Into Jail Through The Back Way

Clearwater, Fla.(970 WFLA)-A Clearwater man, under arrest on outstanding warrants is now facing additional charges, when during a strip search he pulled three syringes out of his rectum, telling  the deputy, "they're not mine."

Corporal Dan Difrancesco with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, says Wesley took them out himself and handed them over to the detention deputy.

Corporal Difrancesco says the inmate search for contraband includes a "Secure Pass",  that works like an x ray machine that can detect objects, then they get a strip search.

Wesley Scott is familiar with the procedure at the jail.  He's been arrested numerous times over the years.
