Triple-Homicide Investigation Continues in Tarpon Springs

Tarpon Spring, Fla. (970 WFLA) - Tarpons Springs Police are investigating what they are now calling a triple-homicide at the Meadows mobile home park on Juanita Way.

Officers were called out shortly after noon yesterday to do a welfare check by the son of one victim at the home.  Detectives later found three badly decomposed bodies along with three dead dogs inside after obtaining a search warrant overnight.

Detectives say they believe the victims knew the suspect or suspects that killed them.  The Medical Examiner's office will perform autopsies tomorrow to identify the bodies and determine the causes of death.

Tarpons Springs Police Major Jeff Young says investigators will be at the home for a at least another day to collect evidence and process the entire scene.

Neighbors in the 55-and-older mobile home park say their community is usually very quiet.  Major Young says detectives have asked to meet with residents to address any of their safety concerns.
