Odessa, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A crash between a cargo van and a motorcycle Friday left the biker dead and his passenger in critical condition, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Troopers say that Eugenio Clerge, 57, pulled the Chevy cargo van onto State Road 54 from Asturian Parkway and into the path of the Harley Davidson that John Valentine, 50, rode on 54. Valentine died after the crash. His passenger, 54-year-old Diane Mier, suffered critical injuries. Charges are pending against Clerge, according to a news release from the FHP.
