Foster Child Case Worker Faces Child Porn Charges

Bartow, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A social services worker at an agency that provides services for children faces charges of possessing child pornography. The Polk County Sheriff's Office says that William Smith, 28, had sexually graphic images of boys and girls between 5 and 12 years old. Smith worked as a case manager for Youth & Family Alternatives, Inc. of Lakeland. YFA calls itself on its website "one of the area’s leading providers of social services to children and families" whose services include case management for foster children. The arrest affidavit says that Smith faces 15 second-degree felony counts.
