Holiday Gas Prices To Hit Two Year Lows

AAA gasoline price

Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-If you have a trip planned for the holiday period, you are in luck as gas prices are going lower again.  In fact, AAA says holiday gas prices are in line to be the lowest in two years.

The Auto Club Group's Mark Jenkins says after rising three cents last week, prices have started to decline once more.  The Florida average for a gallon of regular is now at $2.30.  That figure is 21 cents less than Floridians were paying just two months ago.

Jenkins says crude oil prices not been able to gain any upward movement after OPEC announced plans to cut production.  The market is also said to be a bit oversupplied now.

Most expensive gas prices in Florida are in Panama City at $2.63.  Lowest prices in Florida can be found in the Villages at $2.17.
