Cops: Tarpon Springs Man Bit Girlfriend's Sons

Tarpon Springs, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A man faces child abuse charges because detectives say he bit two of his girlfriend's children hard enough to leave scars. Rashawn Davis, 29, bit the two boys, ages 2 and 3, between June and August of this year, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. Doctors discovered the injuries to the boys after they and two other were removed from the home of Andrea Fulton.

Medical staff told detectives that the 2-year-old boy had more than 35 laceration marks on his back and eight circular bite marks on his back, buttocks and facial cheek. The 3-year-old had one circular bite mark on his buttock.

Davis admitted to biting the 2-year-old multiple times out of frustration, the news release said. Fulton admitted to knowing about the bite marks and not seeking care for her children. Davis faces two counts of aggravated child abuse with great bodily harm. Fulton faces two counts of child neglect with great bodily harm. The children remain in either foster care or with family.
