Tampa, Fla. (Newsradio 970 WFLA)-The Buccaneers have not announced any plans to dismiss head coach Dirk Koetter, but he has begun consistently to refer to next year's Bucs team as "them."
Asked Wednesday about the the team playing one of its games in London next year, Koetter said, "It means that theyāre playing out of the states next year.ā In response to a follow up question about the team's 2019 trip abroad he said, "I think for right now, weāre trying to focus on Baltimore. Thatās something thatās going to happen in the future and when the Bucs get to that point in the season next year, Iām sure it will be good.ā
The Bucs have a record of 5-8, and Koetter has endured speculation about his future with the team after this season. The team fired defensive coordinator Mike Smith earlier this season.
