Valrico, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A wrong way driver is being blamed for a crash that shutdown the eastbound lanes of S.R. 60 near Miller Road, and left a driver in critical condition.
The highway patrol says a Jeep Cherokee driven by 70 year old Walt Pfeifer of Valrico was heading west in the east bound lanes when it collided head on with a Corvette driven by 34 year old Matthew Bell of Valrico. Bell is in critical condition at Tampa General.
The highway patrol says both drivers were impaired by alcohol. Pfeifer is in serious condition .
