Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Tampa Police have arrested two men including a football star at Hillsborough High School for the July 20th murder of 21 year-old Nicholas Mortazavi. The shooting took place in the parking lot of the McDonald's restaurant at 3515 South Dale Mabry Highway.
Investigators say Mortazavi drove to the McDonald's to sell marijuana to 19 year-old Marquez Davon Roberts (pictured above). During the deal, Roberts paid Mortazavi with counterfeit money. A confrontation followed with both Roberts and 17 year-old Dontae Lamar Hopkins (pictured below) arming themselves and shooting Mortazavi.
Police say both Hopkins and Roberts surrendered to officers after the case went to a grand jury and they were indicted.
Hopkins was a running back on the varsity team for Hillsborough High.
