Tampa, Fla.(970 WFLA)-A fire at a metal recycling facility on Port Sutton Road kept fire crews busy Sunday morning.
Hillsborough Fire and Rescue says a 25-foot high pile of metal was on fire in the metal yard of the Trademark Metals Recycling Facility, when they arrived just before ten. It took crews around an hour and a half to get the blaze under control using an elevated attack of both foam and water.
The facility's claw was eventually used to dismantle the metal pile to get to the inner hot spots.
Complicating the attack was near-zero visibility at some points due to haze from the smoldering fire and rainy weather. There were no injuries reported, and the cause is currently under investigation.
