Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-The drop in prices at the gasoline pump is starting to slow a little bit. AAA says after declining one to two cents a day for the past seven weeks, gas prices declined by only fractions of a penny Sunday.
AAA's Mark Jenkins says pump prices are close to catching up with the recent crude oil price plunge. But, Jenkins says oil prices are beginning to increase after OPEC announced a production cut agreement. Jenkins does, however, believe we'll see low gas prices through the end of the year.
The most expensive gas prices in Florida are in the Panama City area at $2.66. The least expensive gas prices are here in the Tampa Bay area at $2.13 a gallon.
