Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Hillsborough County is opening cold weather shelters tonight as temperatures fall into the lower 40s around here. The wind chill will even make it feel colder.
Shelters open this evening are the Hyde Park United Church on West Platt Street in Tampa, the Jackson Springs Rec Center on Jackson Springs Road in Town and Country (pet friendly), the Wimauma Senior Center in Wimauma and the Salvation Army on North Florida Avenue in Tampa.
Metropolitan Ministries on North Florida Avenue in Tampa will be open for families to get motel vouchers.
People who need transportation to the shelters can call the Sunshine Line.
