Holiday Gas Prices To Hit Two-Year Lows

AAA gasoline price

Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-It'll cost you less than in past years to make that trip through the woods to grandma's house this Thanksgiving.  Triple A says gasoline prices will be the lowest in two Thanksgivings.

AAA's Mark Jenkins says gas prices in Florida dropped another 7 cents last week to an average of $2.50 a gallon. The lower prices are due to an increase in crude oil supplies and production while demand has increased by just one percent.

The most expensive gas prices in Florida are in Panama City at $2.83.  The lowest gas prices in the Sunshine State are here in the Tampa-St. Pete area at $2.33.

Triple A says some drivers in other states are beginning to find gas prices below $2 a gallon.  But, those lower prices can only be found in low tax states like Louisiana, Alabama and Tennessee.
