Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A Hillsborough middle school teacher is in trouble for teaching a 14 year old female student the wrong lessons.
The Hillsborough Sheriff's Office says 40 year old science teacher Jason Osborne of Apollo Beach engaged in romantic conversations with the teen through an app called "Remind". Osborne is a science teacher at Ferrell Magnet School, an all girls school in Tampa. Teachers use the app to communicate with parents and students. But according to the sheriffs report, Osborne used the app to establish a romantic relationship with the girl, a student at the school and met her on one occasion.
He's charged with a felony, "for offenses against students by authority figures". Osborne posted bond and has been released from jail.
