Tampa, Fla.-(11/5/2018)-Went to another Tampa Bay area radio reunion. It's the annual gathering of area radio personalities, past and present.
It was a very noisy gathering. Not so much from all the radio folks, but it was held at World of Beer next to Tampa International Airport. It was even a challenge for normally loud radio folks to talk over jet noise.
I arrived with Tattoo Lady and found my old buddy A.J. Anello already waiting. A few beers later and the rest of the crowd started to show up. Even the recently retired Tedd Webb dropped by.
Sandy Hall does all the heavy lifting to organize the event. She was talking about stopping the reunion because of low turnout, but decided to let it roll-on. We are all getting older and actually have people die-off as the years roll by.
It was a real blast this year and I'm hoping for an even bigger and better event next year. The reunion is also open to the public to mingle with their radio favorites. Heck, we'll even accept a free beer.
