Largo,Fla.(970 WFLA)-There's a new trend in crime that should have some pickup truck owners worried.
Pinellas County Deputies say thieves have recently been targeting Ford F-250 and 350 diesel trucks made between 2001 and 2010. Deputies say thieves are going after those trucks because the keys lack a computer chip that helps prevent theft.
Deputies advise owners, they should keep their trucks in a garage, buy a steering wheel lock and install an alarm and gps monitor
