Texts Show Andrew Gillum Knew Where Hamilton Tickets Came From

TALLAHASSEE (970 WFLA) -- Records released in an ethics probe, suggest the Democratic candidate for governor knew that he was getting tickets to a Broadway show from a lobbyist who turned out to be an FBI informant.

Andrew Gillum contends that the lobbyist gave the ticket to his brother... and he wasn't aware the Hamilton ticket traced back to the informant. But the Tampa Bay Times reports the text messages show he knew "Mike Miller" ... the name used by an undercover agent... was tied to the tickets. That contradicts the answer he gave in a Sunday debate in Tampa.

The texts were released by the state Ethics Commission after they subpoenaed the lobbyist to access them.

Republican rival Ron DeSantis says Gillum lied and he has something to hide.

The two debate again tonight in Weston.
