Tampa,Fla (970 WFLA)-The first debate between the candidates for Florida Governor is history and it produced some sharp exchanges.
Republican Ron DeSantis accused Democrat Andrew Gillum, the Mayor of Tallahassee, of presiding over a city where crime is out of control and said he is not the guy to keep Florida's families safe.
Gillum compared DeSantis to Donald Trump for neglecting facts, and claimed that Tallahassee's crime rate is at a five-year low.
Last night's one-hour debate took place in Tampa and was moderated by Jake Tapper on CNN.
