Spring Hill, Fla. (Newsradio 970 WFLA) -Hernando County deputies have identified 22 year-old Alek Nathaniel Smith as the man killed as the result of a home invasion robbery on Legend Street here..
Deputies responding to a shots-fired call found the man who lives there had been beaten and shot. He later died from his injuries after being taken to the hospital.
No arrests have been made after deputies searched the area for possible suspects, however, they say there is no immediate threat to the neighborhood.
Detectives believe the incident may be drug related, but the investigation is ongoing.
