Tampa, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-Triple A says gasoline prices dropped by a penny over the weekend. The auto club believes it's just the start of a new downward trend.
The Auto Club Group's Mark Jenkins says fuel prices dropped on the stock market last week, which is expected to open the way for more price drops at the pump. Jenkins believes drivers will see a 5 to 10 cent drop in gas prices over the next ten days.
Jenkins says price increases could return late in the month due to U.S. sanctions against Iranian crude oil and what it could mean to supply and demand.
The most expensive gas prices in Florida are in the West Palm Beach-Boca Raton area at $2.91. The least expensive gas can be found in the Tampa-Saint Petersburg area at $2.74.
