Tampa,Fla.(970 WFLA)-A Brandon woman could face charges for a crash that killed one of her grandchildren in Hillsborough County.
It happened Sunday afternoon on I-75 near Fletcher Ave. when the highway patrol says 50-year-old Lorraine Sailor crashed into the median after swerving to avoid debris. Two of her grandchildren, were ejected from the car, including ten-month-old Mikeycha James, who died.
Sailor could face charges because none of the three children in the car were wearing seat belts. Her three year old and eight year old grandchildren were taken to Tampa General for treatment of minor injuries.
