Clearwater, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A 7-month-old girl died after a bite from the family dog Friday afternoon, police said. Clearwater Fire and Rescue medics went to the home on Fairwood Ave. at about 2:12 p.m. and took the injured baby to Mease Countryside Hospital, where she later died, according to a news release from CFR. Clearwater Police, as well as the Department of Children and Families now investigate the circumstances of the girl's death. The dog went to Pinellas County Animal Control.
