All Lanes Re Opened After Semi Truck Crash At Fowler & I-75

Tampa, Fla.(970 WFLA)-A man is dead after his car was crushed by a semi-trailer that fell off I-75. It happened Tuesday afternoon near east Fowler Avenue in Tampa.

The FHP says 40 year old Jennifer Boynton of Belleview, lost control of her car on the I-75 north entrance ramp, slid into the opposite lane and crashed into the semi-trailer, driven by 63 year old Angel Catalan of Port St. Lucie, which then hit a wall on the overpass.

The front part of the semi-trailer then went over the wall and landed on a car, killing the unsuspecting man inside. His name has not yet been released pending notification of his family.

The tractor -trailer finally came to rest across all lanes of Fowler Avenue, spilling  it's load of tomatoes across the highway.

The crash closed both north and southbound lanes of I-75, and Fowler Avenue  for several hours.  UPDATE: All lanes of Fowler and I-75 have reopened.
