LAND O' LAKES, Fla. (WFLA) - A Pasco County couple is dead after investigators say the husband, a Hillsborough county deputy, shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself late Sunday.
Deputies arrived to the couple's Land O' Lakes home just after midnight to find Samantha Keithley, 33, dead on a couch downstairs. Deputies then went upstairs and found Kirk Keithley, 39, dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the sheriff.
It didn't take long for friends and strangers alike to rally behind the kids the couple leaves behind. By Monday night, a GoFundMe fundraiser for the Keithley's four children had already raised more than $20,000.
