Crash at St. Petersburg Intersection Kills Man

St. Petersburg, Fla. (970 WFLA) - A man died after crossing the median in his pickup truck and crashing into two vehicles stopped at a traffic light Friday night, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Michael J. Kiedrowski, 47, of Pinellas Park, drove west on Ulmerton Rd. approaching Feather Sound Dr. at about 7:15 p.m., according to a news release from the FHP, when he crossed the center median and collided with the sedan and the mini van stopped in Ulmerton's eastbound lanes at the intersection. Kiedroski's truck flipped over and ejected him. He died at the scene.

Troopers say alcohol did not play a role. Neither of the other drivers suffered injury. The crash kept eastbound Ulmerton Rd. closed until 10:49 p.m., troopers said.
