St. Pete Student Stable After Stabbing At Bus Stop

St. Petersburg, Fla. (970 WFLA)-A stabbing at a Pinellas County school bus stop today near Paris Avenue and 6th Street, South.. 

St. Petersburg Police spokeswoman Yolanda Fernandez says two teenage girls began fighting. As the bus approached the stop, the fight escalated and 15-year-old Diamond Troutman stabbed 16-year-old Aliayah Barnes.  At some point Troutman ran onto the bus.   Troutman is in police custody.   Barnes was taken to Bayfront Health with a serious injury and is currently in stable condition.

There were between 25 and 30 students on the bus, no one else was injured, they were taken to Gibbs High School.
