Las Vegas Mass Shooting Survivor Returns For iHeartRadio Music Festival

Tampa, Fla. (70 WFLA)-The two day iHeart Radio Music Festival is this weekend in Las Vegas.  For one music fan, returning to Las Vegas is a step in closure.

Her name is Melissa Wall,   a survivor of the October 1st, 2017  Las Vegas mass shooting.  58 people died and hundreds were injured.

Melissa's aunt won tickets through an IHeart Radio contest.   With the  tickets, Melissa and her aunt, will meet Jason Aldean, the singer song writer who was performing on stage when the shooting started.

Melissa says she's trying to return to everyday life, and feels fortunate to be alive.  She plans to visit the grounds where the shooting happened to  pay her respects for those who died.

Now into its eighth year, the annual iHeartRadio Music Festival is a two-day music festival in Las Vegas that features over 30 of today's biggest names - across genres and formats.
