Winter Haven Fla.-(970 WFLA)-Nine people are under arrest following a four-month investigation into a drug-smuggling operation at the Polk County Jail.
Sheriff Grady Judd says K-2 synthetic marijuana and other compounds made their way into the jail on sheets of paper disguised as mail or legal documents. Those other compounds included pesticides, with Judd saying that inmates were getting high from smoking and eating chemicals found in Raid bug spray and roach motels.
Two of those arrested are mothers who smuggled the tainted paper to their inmate sons.
