New Port Richey, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-A depression has opened up between two houses on Dorian Court in the River Ridge subdivision here. The hole is 40 feet across and 20 feet deep.
Pasco County building inspectors have posted both homes as unsafe for human habitation. Both families are out of the houses and are looking for a new place to live. No other houses in the neighborhood are in danger.
Pasco County Emergency Management has told the homeowners to contact their insurance companies since the houses are on private property. Engineers will have to determine if it is an actual sinkhole.
