In Latest Controversy, SunPass Compromises User Data

KEY TAKEAWAYS:

  • Many Floridians have been affected by the SunPass screw-up- but now it seems that some residents have been affected more than others. Noah Pransky and 10 News WTSP now report that several dozen drivers have had their personal data compromised through the SunPass system.
  • Stolen information includes names, addresses, user driving history and answers to security questions.
  • Pransky says both the contractor and FDOT are involved in a cover-up of this data leak, FDOT did not respond to request for comment from Pransky.
  • Many are still questioning who will pay for the Rays stadium update. County Commissioners are the ones involved in deciding whether or not tax-payers will pay- there will not be a public vote.
  • Pransky has compiled a list of where each candidate stands on the stadium, click here to find that list.
