Tampa, Fla-(8/9/2018)-I had to take a pass on my family reunion in Ohio to stay here to work, but my sister got to go. Lucky me!
I did, however, get some photos from the Big Buckeye. Two of those photos brought back some big memories for me. One was a photo of a Frisch's Big Boy. I used to live on those burgers. When I first moved to Tampa there were Frisch's here, but they soon closed.
I did find a Boy Boy restaurant near Sanford, but that closed two years ago. I've got this crave thing going for a Big Boy or a Brawny Lad burger. Closest Frisch's is in London, Kentucky, so I'm probably not going to get one anytime soon.
My sis also sent me a photo of Foy's toy store. My grandmother used to take me to that place and buy me a special toy every now and then. They also had a big candy department. I miss that place.
Congrats to my little sister for making the trip and busting my chops. Shame on me for not breaking away from work to go. Maybe next time.
