SPRING HILL (970 WFLA) -- A Hernando deputy goes to the hospital after getting dragged down the road by a driver during a traffic stop.
The Hernando sheriff's office says 48 year old Deputy Tonya Shutt pulled over a grey GMC Sierra on McKethan Road near the Pasco line Tuesday afternoon just before 3:30. The driver took off with Shutt, who called for help once she was free.
Pasco deputies located 25 year old Megan Lloyd minutes later. Her charges include driving with a suspended or revoked license, resisting arrest with violence, and aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.
