Clearwater, Fla.-(Newsradio 970 WFLA)-U.S. Senator Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) is calling on the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate the so-called “stand your ground” shooting that occurred in Clearwater last week.
Nelson made the request in a letter he and four other lawmakers sent today to Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
The letter was also signed by Sens. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and Reps. Charlie Crist (D-Fla.) and Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.).
