Tampa, Fla. (970 WFLA)- Police have arrested a man they say attacked and tried to rob a Yellow Taxi driver last night near North Nebraska Avenue and East Seward Street.
The cabbie, 43 year old Dieunal Cherisca was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect is 19 year old Stephon Dye of Tampa.
A K-nine officer found Dye hiding in some near-by bushes. Dye was taken to the hospital for treatment for several dog bites. He's charged with aggravated battery with great bodily harm and robbery.
