Tallahassee, Fla. (970 WFLA)-Stores through-out the Tampa Bay area and across state are gearing up for the upcoming sales tax holiday on back to school supplies.
According to James Miller with the Florida Retail Federation, merchants love the holiday because it's second only to black Friday in sales and he says consumers stand to save up to 40-million dollars this year.
The sales tax holiday runs from Friday, August 3rd, through Sunday the 5th. Eligible items include clothing, shoes, and bags costing 60 dollars or less, and school supplies costing 15 dollars or less.
