- Stand your Ground- A man was shot after a fight over a parking space in Clearwater. The shooter was not arrested yet, because officials say the case falls within Florida's "stand your ground" law. Vega says surveillance video and witness testimony could change this though, and the shooter could face murder or manslaughter charges.
- Disney legal- A pregnant Disney performer is suing the company for gender discrimination after she was fired for extended time off following her maternity leave. She was a performer in the Festival of the Lion King show, and needed 7 months off for pregnancy, 2 months to be cleared to return to work and another 2 months for conditioning and training so she could perform the role.
- Public Beach Access Fight- Beach front property owners have the right to restrict access to their part of the under HB 631, but the Governor is now concerned that this is too restrictive for beach patrons. He issued an executive order to not adopt any more rules that restrict beach access, and urges state attorneys to take appropriate action to ensure public access to the beach.
