TARPON SPRINGS (970 WFLA) -- Tarpon Springs police stopped five people in a stolen car who they say planned to commit car burglaries in their town.
They spotted the teens driving slowly along Castleworks Lane early Thursday morning, trying car door handles.
The car took off the teens spotted the cops... who used stop sticks at US 19 and Klosterman Road. Pinellas deputies finally pulled the car over on 31st Street South in St Pete.
Police say the teens were from St. Petersburg and Pinellas Park, and came to Tarpon to look for cars they could burglarize.
18 year olds Anthony Grayson and Igor Lavrenenko are the adults facing charges... there were three juveniles in the car, the youngest just 14.
