Largo, Fla. (970 WFLA)- A 53 year old Seminole woman is recovering from serious injuries after trying get her stolen purse back. Largo police are looking for two woman who took the purse, and police say, both have criminal history's.
According to Largo Police, Crystal Dennington was driving a motorized shopping cart through the Walmart parking lot on Roosevelt Blvd. last Sunday, when two suspects in a blue 2017 Hyundai drove up next to her. A woman identified as 37 year old Tanesha Gary jumped out, snatched her purse and jumped back in. Dennington ran after the car, fell and was partially dragged.
Largo Police tell us the driver and owner of the Hyundai is 39 year old Shanan Diaz. Diaz has active arrest warrants out of Lee county, and police say Gary is a career offender.
