Riverview, Fla. (970 WFLA) - The man whom two deputies shot and killed Friday morning had broken into his estranged wife's house on his birthday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
Tim Gohann Braun turned 60 Friday. Early that morning his estranged wife returned to her home on Estates del Sol Drive to find Braun inside, the Sheriff's Office said. He did not live there, and the woman called 911.
Deputies Dannett Brennan, 31, and Joshua Berrios, 27, both shot Braun when he raised the gun and pointed it at the deputies, and he died at the scene. Sheriff Chad Chronister said Friday that Braun had priors in Texas for robbery and "multiple white collar crimes," including one for credit card abuse in Tarrant County in 2012. He also has a prior arrest in Hillsborough County for trespassing in 2014.
